Our Fibers

Close-up of soft undyed New Zealand wool fleece

New Zealand Wool

New Zealand and Argentine, 30–34 micron. Naturally flame-resistant, resilient underfoot, and it hides soil better than any synthetic. Our default for hand-tufted carpet.

Close-up of woven jute fiber

Jute

Sourced from West Bengal co-operatives. Low water and fertiliser demand, strong in tension, with a slub that gives flatweaves their character. Not for wet areas.

Open cotton bolls on the branch

Cotton

Long-staple, largely from Indian organic-certified growers. Used in backings, flatweaves and blended upholstery where softness matters more than abrasion.

Folded viscose fabric with a soft sheen

Viscose / Bamboo Silk

Cellulose-based fibers with a silky hand and a high natural sheen. Ideal for decorative rugs and low-traffic rooms where lustre matters more than wear.

Solution-dyed nylon carpet yarn

Nylon & Blends

Solution-dyed nylon holds its color through aggressive cleaning — the right answer for corridors and casinos. Wool/nylon 80:20 blends pair wool's appearance with nylon's abrasion figure.

Solution-dyed acrylic yarn cones

Acrylic

Lightweight with a wool-like hand. Solution-dyed for strong colorfastness and weather resistance, making it a practical choice for decorative and outdoor pieces.

Reeled genuine silk yarn with a soft lustre

Genuine Silk

Extremely fine natural filament with an unmistakable lustre. Usually blended with wool so the finished piece can take handling; reserved for high-end bespoke work.

Recycled PET yarn spun from post-consumer bottle flake

Recycled PET

From post-consumer bottle flake, GRS-certified. Performance matches virgin polyester; the environmental case is considerably better.

Loosely wound skein of Tencel yarn with a soft sheen

Tencel

A lyocell fiber made from wood pulp in a closed-loop process. Soft and elegant with a natural, subtle sheen, suited to premium decorative carpets.

Close-up of polyester carpet yarn

Polyester

Soft to the touch with a wide color range and easy-care performance. An economical option for decorative and residential carpets.

From fiber to floor

  1. Sourcing and inspection

Every bale arrives with full origin documentation. Before it enters our warehouse, we test fiber diameter, staple length and moisture content.

  2. Spinning and heat-setting

Yarn is spun and plied to the exact count each construction requires, then heat-set to lock in the twist, so the pile keeps its shape and texture for years.

  3. Dyeing

Natural fibers are dyed in our own dye house against a 2,400-color reference library, while solution-dyed yarns arrive with color built in. Every recipe is recorded, so a dye lot can be matched years later.

  4. Tufting, knotting or weaving

Hand-tufting frames and hand-knotting for bespoke pieces; Axminster and Wilton looms for larger volumes. Every method follows the same approved artwork.

  5. Backing, shearing and carving

Backing is applied and cured to lock every tuft in place. The pile is then sheared to an even height and hand-carved wherever the design calls for relief.

  6. Inspection and testing

Our lab tests colorfastness, tuft bind and abrasion resistance. Every roll is also inspected by eye under daylight-balanced lighting before it ships.

Every textile begins with a considered choice of fiber, texture, color and construction.

MATERIAL · CRAFT · DETAIL

FROM MATERIAL TO TEXTILE

The character of a textile begins with its materials.

We select fibers, yarns and fabrics for their appearance, feel, performance and suitability for each project. Through careful development and skilled craftsmanship, these materials become carpets and textiles made for the spaces they are intended for.

From the first material choice to the finished piece, we focus on color, texture, construction and finish, so that every detail works together.

Thoughtful materials. Skilled craftsmanship. Textiles made for the space.
